The National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities of NIH was established by the passage of the Minority Health and Health Disparities Research and Education Act of 2000, Public Law 106-525. This Center supports basic, clinical, social, and behavioral research; promotes research infrastructure and training, fosters outreach to minority and other health disparity communities.
